​Parent-teacher conferences are an opportunity to engage in conversation about your child’s learning. Parents/guardians and teachers are able to connect face-to-face and communicate openly about student learning, especially with respect to areas of strength and areas of growth. They help build and sustain respectful relationships that allow both parties to share information and develop strategies to support student success.​​​

Parent-Teacher Conferences

At Andrew Sibbald, Parent-Teacher Conferences are a key part of our communication strategy regarding your child’s progress. Please plan on booking and attending a parent-teacher conference with the applicable teacher(s) for each child you have attending the school. This Teacher-Led Conference is a great opportunity to help us learn more about your child. We encourage you to bring you child to the conference.

To book conferences with your child’s teacher, please go to your My CBE Account. This link can also be found on the homepage of our Andrew Sibbald School website. If you have not used this link before, you will need to create an account as the first step in booking your conference time(s). You will need your child’s CBE ID# and a current email address that is on file with the school. This can be found on the report card. 

We greatly appreciate parents booking their own appointments, but know this is not always possible due to not having any access to a computer. If you are unable to book your own appointment, please call the school at 403-777-6830 during regular office hours and we will be happy to help you.

​How to Book a School Conference

  1. Log-in to MyCBE​.

    If you do not have an account, follow the Create a MyCBE Account​ instructions.

  2. Click on the My School Conferences icon.

  3. Click on the time slot that is available and convenient for you. Ensure pop-up windows are allowed.

  4. In the pop-up window, you will choose your child (you have the option to enter the student's name), the name of the parent / guardian is pre-filled, but can also be changed.​​​​

​​​Create a MyCBE Account

  1. Go to www.cbe.ab.ca/mycbe and click on the “Create Parent Account” link.

    Important: the email that you are using to create your account must be the same one you have provided to the school. If you are unsure, please contact the school office.

  2. Once you have created an account, you will receive a confirmation email. 

  3. After your account is confirmed, you can login to the system.​
