March Message

Hello Annie Foote Families,

We are looking forward to our School Conferences tonight and tomorrowPre-COVID, it was tradition to invite parents to ‘Student Led’ conferences, so that children could demonstrate their learning and celebrate the impressive work they have been doing.

Since we are unable to come together, conferences have become an even more critical opportunity to hear about your child’s learning, accomplishments, and areas of growth.  These will be our last conferences of the year, and we would love to have all families attend.  We encourage parents to have questions or topics in mind that they would like to address in the discussion.  What do you feel your child could benefit from?  What questions do you have about your child’s work?  Conferences allow you to learn more about your child at school, but they also allow the teacher to learn a little more about what supports, or routines benefit your student at home. Please remember you can reach out to your child’s teacher at anytime of the year, you do not have to wait until conferences.

As we move into Spring Break, we want to thank you for your support throughout this unique school year, and we hope the break provides students with an opportunity to recharge and get ready for the final three months of school! We know the pandemic has been wearing on us all, but there is a light at the end of this tunnel. Here is one of my favorite quotes:

“Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness”  Desmond Tutu

Please reach out if you have anything you would like to share or discuss.  On behalf of all our staff, be safe and be well.

Kindest wishes,

Tania Brown
