One way parents/guardians can make a meaningful difference for students is by participating on our school’s parent society. Under the School Act, a parent society is a formal group of parents, incorporated under the Societies Act for the purpose of raising funds for the school. A society is a separate legal entity from the school council. The school principal is not part of this group. More information can be found in our CBE Administrative Regulation 5001 – School Councils and School/Parent Societies.

Parent Society

Our Parent Society is known as the Parents of Annie Foote Fund Raising Society.

Meeting Dates/Schedule

Parent Society meetings will start between 7-7:30 PM in the staff room at the school. They are short, sometimes just a few minutes. The School Council meeting is right before and is much longer, often one hour. We recommend coming for both meetings. The council always meets and the Society usually does and the meetings generally go from 6:30 to 8:00 PM.
