At Arbour Lake School, we are committed to providing a wide range of extra-curricular athletic opportunities for our students. Students in Grades 6-9 are invited to tryout out for our Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball and Badminton teams. For volleyball and basketball, we offer both junior (Grade 6-8) and senior (Grade 8-9) teams. Our school soccer team is made up of students in Grades 6-9, and for Badminton a team is offered for Grade 6/7, 8 and 9. Students in Grades 6-9 are also encouraged to take part in one of our non-cut teams including Cross Country, Wrestling, Track and Field and Thermopylae. Thermopylae is a circuit fitness based team which competes against other schools and culminates in a 5k Mud Run at the end of the season.

Although Calgary Middle Level School Amateur Athletics does not permit students in Grade 5 to take part in interschool athletic teams, at Arbour Lake Grade 5 students have the opportunity to participate on the Thermopylae team, be a part of our Run Club as well as get involved in soccer, volleyball and basketball development sessions. We also run an open gym style lunch hour intramural program for students in all grades.
