Clubs

Principal's Advisory Council

The Principal Advisory Council acts as an advisory body to the principal. Councilors will provide input, feedback and suggestions around issues and concerns that impact the school and that fall under the authority of the school principal. Councilors apply to participate on the council each fall. 

Robotics

Students meet and have the opportunity to learn about robotics and compete against other middle school students in the Basic Bot League, a robotics competition hosted by Robert Thirsk High School. 

Grade 5/6 Basketball Club

Basketball Club runs on Wednesday’s at lunch for any grade 5 or 6 student that is interested. The group also participates in mini basketball tournament during the basketball season

Choir

Choir meets Wednesdays at lunch. All grades are welcome! Members sing at all the major assemblies/concerts throughout the year…including a song for the graduates in June. 

Crib Club

Meets every Thursday at lunch. All grades are welcome! This is for kids who want to learn and/or play cribbage.  This is a great game to practice Math and strategy skills.

Chess Club 

Runs through the winter on Tuesdays and during indoor lunches when the weather is not cooperating.

Junior Model UN

Junior Model UN is a club for grade 9 students who are interested in government and politics. At Jr. Model UN students will be simulating the World Health Organization (WHO) and will specifically be dealing with issues surrounding malaria, TB, HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases. Students will be trained in order to participate in the Junior Model UN conference held at Churchill on March 16, 2018. 

Scale Model Builders

On Tuesdays and Thursdays at lunch time.

Yearbook Club

Students are busy taking pictures and designing the yearbook!  Every Thursday students meet at lunch to create the  yearbook.

Coyote Spirit Club

We bring spirit to the Coyote community at Arbour Lake school! We help decide what spirit days we will have for the school year, volunteer and help set up for school events such as the Terry Fox Run, Halloween Dance, Volunteer Tea, and much more! Come and join us when you can and manage fundraisers/ create awareness for events you are passionate about! All grades are welcome to join.
