Auburn Bay School Council
All Auburn Bay parents and guardians are invited to attend the monthly meetings of our school council. The Auburn Bay School Council is comprised of both parents and staff representatives. Our goal is to work together to create a positive learning environment for our children. Through the council, we can strengthen communication between home and school. We discuss and plan for our school’s future. We also support special events.

Update From the Council Executive
Due to the closure of our school we, as a Council, have not been able to meet at our usual once a month consistency. Our Executive have recently met over video conferencing and we wanted to advise our school families of a few items.
Parent Council – Fundraising Society Executive
Usually we hold our Annual General Meeting in May to vote on the Executive Board for the following school year. Due to the extraordinary circumstances of the 2019-2020 school year and our Executive Members not being able to have a full year of regular service, the Executive will roll over and fulfill these same rolls for the 2020-2021 school year. Committee positions are available for any interested parents for the 2020-2021 school year. Please attend our August meeting if you are interested in finding out more about our amazing committees!
Our fundraising casino was to be held March 19-20 but was cancelled as all casinos were closed earlier that week, due to Covid-19. It was decided by the AGLC that as the end of the quarter was a week away all of the organizations designated to work a casino during the first quarter, whether they were actually in attendance or not, would still split the proceeds. Because of this decision, we were granted $53,413.42 in casino funds. These funds will go to supplement learning opportunities in our school. We are in the queue for our next casino assignment and we will advise of those dates as soon as the AGLC communicates them with us.
The School Council meets nine times a year. Meeting times are 6:00 PM – 6:45 PM. The meetings take place in the Auburn Bay School Learning Commons. All parents and guardians of students are invited to attend.
