Personal Belongings

Care of Personal Property

Money and valuables need to be kept in a safe, locked place. All electronic games and trading cards are to be left at home. The school will not be responsible for tracking or relocating these items. Cell phones, MP3 players, personal digital devices and pagers are to be stored in lockers or backpacks. Cell phones and MP3 players are to be turned off during instructional time unless permission is specifically given by a teacher. The school takes no responsibility for the loss or damage of any personal property. Lockers are considered school property and can be entered by staff if needed.

Lost & Found

All articles of clothing, backpacks lunch kits, etc., which are found are collected and placed in the Lost and Found wooden cupboard near the gym. It would be helpful if parents encourage your children to check the box frequently for any missing items. Smaller and more valuable items; e.g. jewelry, glasses, etc. are kept at the Office. On the last day of each month any lost and found items, other than TLC uniform clothing, will be taken to Goodwill. TLC Uniform items that are in the lost and found for over a month are washed and then added to our extra supply of uniform items. Expensive toys or games should stay at home as school is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Bicycles, Skateboards and Wheelies

Bicycles must be locked onto the racks located at the south and west sides of the school and students are not permitted to unlock their bikes to ride them during school hours. Riding bicycles in the parking lot is forbidden due to the safety risk it poses to the student. Skateboards, scooters and roller blades are not permitted at school.
