Fun Lunches Offered

Our Parent Society is pleased to offer Fun Lunches through Healthy Hunger for those of our students who are interested.

More information will be shared with families in September.

Breakfast Program Feeds Young Minds

We are extremely fortunate to have been chosen to pilot a new Alberta Government Nutrition Program! This program will provide all children the opportunity to receive all or part of a nutritious breakfast consisting of the four food groups every day for FREE.

Growing children need to have food on a regular basis – every two to three hours at least and so food provided will be available throughout the day for those children who need additional sustenance. Calgary Meals on Wheels will provide all of the healthy food choices offered to children. We are in the process of hiring a morning Breakfast Supervisor trained in proper food handling.

The program will begin on Jan. 6 with a school-wide breakfast celebration in each classroom for all students and staff. Starting on Jan. 9 students will be able to make healthy food choices on the way to class. Every student can participate whether they have had breakfast at home or not. If they are hungry they can eat!
