- Learning Commons: the concept of the traditional library is changing to include technology, online tools and spaces for collaboration and exploration.
Bringing Your Own Device to School
Students who bring their personal
electronic devices to school must keep them turned off and inside their
backpacks. Phone calls can be made using our school phones which are available
in each classroom and the office to ensure the adults in the school are aware
of the phone call and able to support as needed.
There may be times when teachers
invite students to bring their own devices to school for a specific learning
purpose. In this case, parents will be informed ahead of time and students will
be supervised during use. Students should understand how a device works and how
its use supports their learning. All devices are subject to approval by the
school and teacher. Students are responsible for any devices they bring to
school. The school is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items.
There is no requirement for students to bring their own device.
Students will have access to devices at the school needed to support their
learning.
Students must use their
device responsibly. You can look on the CBE website for more
information on bringing devices to school.
