Student Birthdays

While we love to acknowledge the children’s birthdays and make the day special for them, we are requesting that parents not send treats (food or other gifts) to school. The reasons are numerous: many classrooms have students with allergies and they are not able to partake; celebrating birthdays with a treat infringes on teaching and learning time; many treats are very messy causing additional clean-up for our teachers and custodial staff.

Student birthdays will be acknowledged during the daily announcements and those celebrating a birthday will be invited to the office to receive a birthday pencil. Thank you in advance for celebrating your child’s birthday outside of the school day.
