​Important Dates

We follow the CBE traditional calendar. The calendar sets common start and end days, non-instructional days and holidays. For our school’s additional non-instructional days, late entries, early dismissal days and events, see our school calendar page.​

The Calgary Board of Education continues to plan for the health measures that may be in place for the next school year. More details will be shared with families before the first day of classes.

Back to School Information

First Day of Classes 

Our first day of classes is Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021.  We will be retaining our staggered bell times and staggered lunch. Beginning bell will be 7:55, 8:00 and 8:05. Dismissal will now be 2:30, 2:35 and 2:40 Monday to Friday, and 11:50, 11:55 and 12:00 on Fridays. Note that we will not have additional supervision in the morning and students are asked to come no earlier than five minutes before their scheduled bell time. Teachers will be connecting with you on their first day back August 27, 2021 to inform you that your child is in their class, and what the associated bell time and meeting spot will be.

Group 3:   Entry: 8:05 am               Lunch: 12:30 pm – 1:00 pm           Dismissal: 2:40 pm

  • AM class: 7:55 am – 10:44 am
  • PM class: 11:41 am – 2:30 pm


Grade 1 – 6

  •  AM Kindergarten and PM Kindergarten will alternate attending school on Fridays from 7:55 am – 11:45 am. 

School Supply Lists  

All students are required to have a backpack and lunch bag (if applicable). Indoor shoes are brought to school the first day and left at school – preferably comfortable running shoes that the student can fasten on their own. Many backpacks and shoes look alike; please label all student items.

Assigned Teachers 

Welcoming messages will be sent by the classroom teacher to each family.

Students will meet their teacher on the first day of school. All students are to meet at the designated location provided in the welcome message, such as the compound or field. Teachers will be there to greet students and bring them inside. 


Kindergarten classes begin on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021 with students participating in ‘staggered entry’. Each student is assigned a staggered entry time and will come to school only for 45 minutes on Sept. 1, and 80 minutes on Sept. 2.

​​Do You Have a MyCBE / PowerSchool Parent Account?

Parents who have not already done so, must create an account in MyCBE / PowerSchool to:

  • Pay fees or apply for a waiver

  • Register for transportation and lunch supervision

  • View student progress

To create a new account, go to www.cbe.ab.ca/mycbe and click on Create Parent Account. You will need to have your child(ren)’s CBE Student ID Number and use your email on file at the school.​

​​Fees and Waivers

School fees will be charged to families starting in October. Online fee payment is the simplest and most convenient way to pay school fees. Parents can use their online account to pay fees or apply for a waiver at: www.cbe.ab.ca/mycbe.

​​​Yellow School Bus Tra​nsportation

Yellow school bus routes for the 2021-22 school year are created o​ver the summer and based on the addresses submitted before the pre-registration deadline in June. Transportation continues to accept registrations after the deadline; however, students are added to the closest existing stop with available space. Processing times could be up to six weeks at the beginning of the school year due to volume.

Your bus stop location and time will be available in your MyCBE / PowerSchool account by mid-August.

Conditional riders can also register using MyCBE / PowerSchool. Applications will be considered after eligible riders registrations have been processed.
