We embrace the potential technology has to engage and enhance learning. Not only will students explore learning targets through a number of different digital and non-digital media, they will also become proficient using tools that make learning more accessible. Students may be encouraged to use speech to text and text to speech options to access advanced content as well as demonstrate the depth of their thinking in content areas. Rest assured that when reading and writing are the focus of instruction students will still be expected to show growth in reading and writing skills. Inclusive technology options allow students to express the full range of their understanding in content areas. This is particularly useful when students have extensive understanding but reading and writing are the barrier.
