Please visit our COVID-19 page for the most up-to-date information. Our plan is subject to change throughout the school year as more information becomes available.

One of the most important ways parents/guardians and community members can make a meaningful difference for students is by participating on the school council. Under the School Act, a school council is a collective association designed to advise the principal and the CBE Board of Trustees on matters related to the school. School councils have legislated advisory and decision-making authority. They are different from Parent Societies & Associations, whose main function is to raise funds for the school. You can find more details in the CBE School Council Handbook.

Our School Council

Our council provides the school staff, parents and community members an opportunity to connect and understand each other on matters of education and the school environment that impact the student body as a whole. Our council is always evolving, but is consistent in focusing on developing the best school and education experience for our children and our students.

This dedicated group needs more enthusiastic parents to join and help with exciting school events. All parents are invited to attend the meetings, and help out with one or all events.

Meeting Dates

Our School Council normally meets in the Learning Commons on the third Tuesday of each month from 6:30 - 7:30 pm. However, due to COVID, we will be using virtual meeting tools (such as Zoom) to meet until such time as meeting in person is once again advisable.

Healthy Hunger

ATTENTION HEALTHY HUNGER CUSTOMERS

Healthy Hunger has been closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and continues to observe Health Canada’s recommendations. Our first priority is the continued safety of our employees and our customers. Public health officials continue to advise that social distancing is the most effective strategy to prevent the spread of COVID-19. As such, all Healthy Hunger office Staff are staying home with their families to stay healthy and safe. Due to these unprecedented times Healthy Hunger is operating at a very reduced staffing capacity.

All lunch order dates up to April 30th have been canceled and refunded back to your method of payment. We appreciate your patience over these last several weeks as we have worked through the backlog of processing. To help speed up the processing time, all orders from May 1 to June 30th have now been canceled and refunded as a credit back to your Healthy Hunger account. You can redeem your Healthy Hunger credit back to your credit card at any time. Your Healthy Hunger credits can be used for any future lunches, special events or fundraisers on Healthy Hunger, and there will be no payment processing fee charged for using your Healthy Hunger credits.
