One way parents/guardians can make a meaningful difference for students is by participating on our school’s parent society. Under the School Act, a parent society is a formal group of parents, incorporated under the Societies Act for the purpose of raising funds for the school. A society is a separate legal entity from the school council. The school principal is not part of this group. More information can be found in our CBE Administrative Regulation 5001 – School Councils and School/Parent Societies.​​

BPPA Fundraising

The Bishop Pinkham Parents' Association is a registered charity run by BP parent volunteers with the objective of raising funds to support and enhance the learning of all BP students.  We are looking for creative ideas for fundraising for the upcoming 2020/2021 school year.  Please email your suggestions to Teresa Foley at teresa.c.foley@gmail.com for consideration.  Thank you!

Message From Our President

More than ever, our public school system relies on the talents and committed efforts of its parent population. We are delighted with the response to our Bishop Pinkham Parents Association membership drive this year, and encouraged by the new faces and voices that form our committee. To that end, we’d like to remind you that you’ll need to complete a new membership form for the fall semester, as per regulatory requirements. Our fall AGM will be held on September 19th, when we’ll hold our annual executive elections.  We are already looking ahead to fundraising initiatives to benefit all students—and looking to our committee members to contribute their special skills and innovative ideas. September will also introduce a “You Get Coffee, Your Kids Get Opportunity!” fundraising initiative.
