We follow the CBE traditional calendar. The calendar sets common start and end days, non-instructional days and holidays. For our school’s additional non-instructional days, late entries, early dismissal days and events, see our school calendar page.

The Calgary Board of Education continues to plan for the health measures that may be in place for the next school year. More details will be shared with families before the first day of classes.

Food service will be dependent on Provincial and Calgary Board of Education guidelines. Information will be posted accordingly in late August.

Many of our students will use Calgary Transit to get to and from school. These buses typically pick students up from each bus stop in their designated route and then go directly to Bowness High School. In mid to late August, the Calgary Transit website will have the routes for our school. Click here for Calgary Transit Maps. Printed maps will be available in the main office when the school opens on August 23. Busing will begin on Wednesday, September 1 (check above under School Opening Information for busing details on this day).

Go to our Parking & Drop-Off page for information about visitor parking. There is absolutely no student parking available on Bowness High School property for the 2021-2022 school year.  Students may park on the streets in our community. Be aware that there is some restricted parking on these streets so watch for posted signs and be mindful of our community residents. The Bowness High School parking lot will be monitored daily and parking tickets will be issued.
