Classes & Departments

This section provides details on the range of subjects and classes offered at our school. All CBE programs follow the Alberta Programs of Study mandated curriculum which includes learning in the following core areas:

  • English Language Arts
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Social Studies
  • Physical Education
  • Arts
  • Languages

Our school also offers several Complementary Courses to meet our students’ unique learning needs, interests and abilities.

Class work, assignments and homework reinforce concepts taught in class and give students vital opportunities for learning. These are an essential part of the learning process at Bowness High School and crucial to success. A student's placement in a course is an indication that the student has made a commitment to full participation in that course. Students are expected to meet deadlines for work in a timely manner.
