Happy New Year and Welcome Back to School

Happy New Year and Welcome Back to school! We sincerely hope that our Branton families had a happy and safe Winter break and some much needed downtime. We are looking forward to the anticipated return of our students next week and resuming in-person classes.

We realize that we have all faced challenges in the last two years as we adjust to a different way of learning while still remaining active, healthy, and safe. We truly hope that circumstances in Canada and around the world will return to some semblance of normal soon. The health and safety of your child will remain a priority for our school and we will continue to keep you updated as new information becomes available. Detailed information for the guidelines for safety and health for all schools is available on CBE’s website.

We know the spread of COVID-19 has and will continue to impact staffing levels across the organization. Now, more than ever, it is important that we continue to work all together for maintaining in-person learning at Branton School. Starting on January 10, 2022, we will welcome our students at 8:30 am. This will help us to ensure we minimize the interactions between students and staff prior to the start of period 1 at 8:45am. Same as before, students will be asked to go to their locker, leave their phone, grab school supplies, and go directly to their homeroom. These measures are in place for your child’s safety.

Sincerely,

Sebastien Picard, Principal
Paul Ormiston, Assistant Principal
