| After weeks of enjoying our summer, we are back to school! We are thrilled to welcome you back. To all of our new students, welcome to Branton School. Our hope is that you will find ways to make positive contributions to our school. We look forward to learning more about you and with you as the year progresses. To our returning students, welcome back. We challenge you to continue to excel in your classes and to model the leadership and citizenship that will help make this another great school year at Branton. The community of educators at Branton strive to support each student in their learning journey to the best of their abilities. We want students to feel a sense of excitement and anticipation before each day begins, and to be active and engaged in their own learning throughout the day. Branton parents and guardians play a vital role in the ongoing learning, growth, and development of their child. On-going communication between home and school is vital and we encourage parents and guardians to contact the school and staff as needed. We welcome the opportunity to meet with you, wherever it is that we can safely connect with our parent community. Please consider attending our School Council meetings (The first one is planned for: September 27), or attending school events that may occur throughout the year. Mr. Picard, Principal and Mr. Ormiston, Assistant Principal

| Happy New Year and Welcome Back to school! We sincerely hope that our Branton families had a happy and safe Winter break and some much needed downtime. We are looking forward to the anticipated return of our students next week and resuming in-person classes. We realize that we have all faced challenges in the last two years as we adjust to a different way of learning while still remaining active, healthy, and safe. We truly hope that circumstances in Canada and around the world will return to some semblance of normal soon. The health and safety of your child will remain a priority for our school and we will continue to keep you updated as new information becomes available. Detailed information for the guidelines for safety and health for all schools is available on CBE’s website. We know the spread of COVID-19 has and will continue to impact staffing levels across the organization. Now, more than ever, it is important that we continue to work all together for maintaining in-person learning at Branton School. Starting on January 10, 2022, we will welcome our students at 8:30 am. This will help us to ensure we minimize the interactions between students and staff prior to the start of period 1 at 8:45am. Same as before, students will be asked to go to their locker, leave their phone, grab school supplies, and go directly to their homeroom. These measures are in place for your child’s safety. Sincerely, Sebastien Picard, Principal

| Bonjour everyone, Already a month has gone by and we are settling down into our new routine. The weather has been very supportive of our PE program and having daily picnics at lunch. We want to thank you for your support and collaboration when sending your child to school by verifying the health every morning and making sure they carry a mask. Stay safe, stay healthy. |
| I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. The whole staff
is actually missing the presence of students. The letter to parents ``Learning
Support Plan`` provides some information about how the school will be
addressing the new classroom reality. Students will find links to their team of
teachers where a slide gives an overview of the work to be done for the week.
Each D2L shell (subjects) will provide more specific details about each
learning task. The planned schedule is to have the slide (overview) updated
every Sunday night and the D2L updated every Monday morning by 9:00. The
PE/Health/Option areas have added some activities to allow for a change of pace
and provide a mental break from the core subjects.
Take care,
J-F Bélanger

Hello and welcome to our new website!!
The change is part of a system-wide upgrade of all CBE school websites to a new standard. While any technology change takes some getting used to, we hope you'll appreciate the new features such as being able to view it on your smart phone, and being able to find anything on the site using the search tool at the top of the page.
I invite you to explore the pages and check back often for the most current information about Branton School. You can also watch this space for periodic updates and announcements of school-wide importance. As always, should you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me anytime.
