Personal Belongings

Care of Personal Property

The school is not responsible for the loss or damage of personal property. Students are advised to leave items of value at home and not share their locker combinations.

Backpacks & Books

To prevent possible accidents, students should store backpacks in their lockers and not carry them from class to class. Students may retrieve all materials and books before classes, during homeroom or at lunch time each day, to avoid going to lockers between or during classes.

Lost & Found

Students are advised to check in the office for any items that may have been turned in. Items not claimed by the end of the school year will be donated.

Personal Electronic Devices

Our school has an Acceptable Use Policy that addresses the appropriate use of electronic devices at school.

Bicycles & Skateboards

We certainly encourage active living practices with children such as riding a bicycle to school. Any student choosing to bike to school must wear a helmet according to the City of Calgary bylaw. Upon arrival at the school and for the safety of all students, cyclists are expected to walk bicycles on school grounds during school hours. When bicycles are brought to school they should be locked in the bicycle rack provided. The school cannot be responsible for bicycles damaged or stolen while they are at school.

Students may ride skateboards to school, but they must be stored in the office until dismissal. Students may not use them on school property or in the school. This applies to rollerblades as well.
