One way parents/guardians can make a meaningful difference for students is by participating on our school’s parent society. Parent societies are a formal group of parents, incorporated under the Societies Act for the purpose of raising funds for the school. A society is a separate legal entity from the school council. More information can be found in our CBE Administrative Regulation 5001 – School Councils and School/Parent Societies.

Parent Society

Our Parent Society is known as  the Branton School Fundraising Association.

The BSFA consists of the parents of students of Branton Junior High School as well as students, school staff and interested members of the community at large. Our Association works to advance education and learning through the charitable provision of support to the school community. We are required to operate in a fashion that is legally distinct from the Branton School Council, although the membership of the two school groups is largely the same. Meetings are held throughout the year, alternately before or after the School Council meeting.
