Attendance

Attendance Line: 403-777-6130 ext. 1.

If your child is going to be absent or late to school, please call the school at the number above, before 9 AM, indicating the child's name, teacher and a reason for the absence. This assists the office staff immensely and is designed for the safety of your children. If we do not receive your call and your child is not in class, we will attempt to contact a parent.

Leaving Voice Mail Messages

Please note that if you are leaving voice mail messages for your child’s teacher, they may not be retrieved until the end of the day after dismissal; or if there is a substitute teacher, they may not be retrieved until the regular teacher returns. If the message is urgent, please contact the office directly at the number above (extension 0).

Signing Out Children

If you come to the school to pick up your child for appointments, etc., it is extremely important that you sign them out at the office. For children who ride the bus, please sign them out in the appropriate bus column no later than 3:40 p.m. as this helps to ensure the bus drivers receive the information in a timely fashion. Notifications of early dismissal should be written in the student agenda book, so students can be sent to the office at the requested time.

Extended Absences

We realize that many families make plans for extended vacations or trips during the school year. If these absences are for a period of 15 instructional days or more you will be required to meet with administration and the teacher to setup a plan for curriculum coverage. We also realize that such travels are opportunities and experiences that enrich our students’ lives and that where possible students attend to their studies by keeping up on the homework posted on D2L
