Dear Brentwood Families:
Our entire staff looks forward to welcoming 750 students to Brentwood this year. Here is some additional information regarding the first two days of school:
1. Thursday, September 1 is the first day of school and is a formal uniform day. Friday, September 2 is also a formal uniform day for our Kindergarten students only, as this will be the first school day for some classes.
2. Your child's safety and well-being is our top priority. All teachers and available staff will be outside the school tomorrow morning and Friday morning to greet students. You will find teachers at or near their classes' assigned doors, which are clearly marked by their alphabet letter. 3. Please note that we have a number of students with allergies to tree nuts and peanuts. Please ensure these items are not sent with snacks or lunches.
4. Parents, please help us model pedestrian and traffic safety for our students. Use the crosswalk to cross Northmount Drive, respect the busy bus loading zone, and follow traffic rules while using the 'Hug & Go' zone on Burgess Drive. Parents are encouraged to park on side streets to avoid congestion.
5. Charter Transportation: CBE transportation service providers are facing a qualified bus driver shortage. Please make sure your family is prepared if there are delays on the route in the event their bus is delayed or canceled on short notice. Please be assured our transportation service providers are continuing to recruit and train drivers.
Wishing your child a wonderful start to the school year! I look forward to visiting classrooms and saying hello in person.
Sincerely,
Rudy J. Stein
