Medications

Student Health Emergency Response Protocol Form

  • This form is to be used when there is a student health issue regarding attention. This includes when there is a request to administer medication.

Student Health Plan

This form is to be:

  • completed if a physical or medical condition may affect the student’s attendance at school
  • completed if medication is to be taken at school,
  • reviewed and updated annually or sooner if there is a change in the student’s health concern or school registration.

Illness

When your children are ill, please keep them home until they have recuperated so that illness does not spread. We hope that when children return they will be able to fully participate in the life of the school. If there are unusual circumstances please send a note with your child so that our staff is aware of what needs to be modified. We have neither the facilities nor the personnel to care for sick children.

Allergies

A number of children at Briar Hill School have life-threatening allergies, most commonly to nuts. For the safety of these students, and in alignment with the policies of the lunchroom program provided in our school, please avoid packing lunches or snacks with peanuts/nuts. This also applies on all field trips, and other school sponsored activities.
