Traffic Safety

Ensuring our students get to school safely is everyone’s responsibility. Please be mindful of crosswalks, parking rules and speed limits when you are near our schools, especially during the morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal times.

Parking & Drop-Off

Student Drop-off and Pick-Up

Parents are encouraged to drop students off along Bridleridge Way. Front door entry is reserved for kindergarten only. Only children who are late for school may use the front doors for entry. Students have been directed not to cross the parking lot. Parents are welcome to meet their child at an exit and escort the child from school. Thank you in advance for being courteous and contributing to student safety by not using the school parking lot for pick-up or drop off.

School Safety Patrols

The Patrol Program is developed, supported and coordinated between the Calgary Police Service, the Alberta Motor Association and participant schools. Student Safety Patrols provide a valuable before school and after-school service at the intersection of Bridleridge Way and Bridlewood Road.

The AMA Safety Patrol Association advises using –20 degrees below or low temperatures with high wind chill factors as their measure for whether or not patrols will be cancelled. We will use a similar guideline for our school patrol team.

Patrol times are 8:00 to 8:15 AM and 3:10 to 3:25 PM.

Thank you to the Grade 5 and 6 students who provide this important service and to students and families who cooperate fully with the routines and regulations guiding the student volunteer patrols.

Playground Supervision

Staff members are on playground and compound supervision at the following times:

8:00 to 8:15 AM
12:25 to 12:38 PM
