Traffic Safety

Ensuring our students get to school safely is everyone’s responsibility. Please be mindful of crosswalks, parking rules and speed limits when you are near our schools, especially during the morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal times.

Parking & Drop-Off

Before and After School Care

Before and after school care programs are available for Buchanan students. Please refer to our Getting to School page for registration information.

Traffic and Parking Concerns

Traffic congestion and unsafe pickup and drop-off procedures continues to be a major safety concern for the students of Buchanan School. This is a reminder that parents and caregivers must not use the staff parking lot to drop children off and are asked to ensure they are parked in a safe manner along the streets while waiting for the students (avoiding crosswalks etc.).

In the interest of the health and safety of our children, when possible please do not leave your car idling for extended periods of time.
