About Us

Cambrian Heights is a vibrant, engaging learning environment with a committed focus on literacy and numeracy for all students. Building community includes inviting families to join us for special events such as Welcome Back Breakfast, assemblies and concerts.

We encourage and welcome volunteers into our school. We have special Fridays when we don our Cambrian Heights T-Shirts and take option courses such as lacrosse, art, musical theatre, and writing. We are a respectful community with a strong Parent Council. Our teachers stay current in their pedagogy and create rich relevant cross-curricular tasks that include meaningful inquiry based projects.

Team Teaching of blended grades offers our students the most connections with adults. Our Makerspace in our Discovery Learning Centre helps to reinforce our beliefs of play based learning and failing forward. Our Music Specialist leads the students in both a winter and spring concert. Big Brothers and Big Sisters In-School Mentoring along with Between Generations provide rich mentoring experiences for students needing some extra nurturing. Lunchtime activities include: Go Girls, Young Writers, Tech Club, and Art Club.
