The CBE's Approach to Community Engagement

Dialogue is the Calgary Board of Education’s approach to community engagement. It is a mutually respectful exchange of ideas that acknowledges and celebrates the diversity within the CBE community. It represents our ongoing commitment to involve people in decisions that affect them.

We know we make better decisions when we listen and work together to solve problems and find solutions. When we do, our students are better equipped to become successful citizens who contribute their ideas, passion and energy to society.

There can be no dialogue without you. Find out more about Dialogue as well as current and past system engagement initiatives on the CBE’s website.

2020-2021 School Budget and School Fees Engagement

We know we make better decisions to support student learning when we build understanding and work together. That’s why we have shared information about the CBE budget and how we develop our own school budget and establish school fees for some services and activities through an online engagement, that was available June 1 - 15, 2020.

We are pleased to share the results and comments that were captured during this community engagement. You can access the results report, as well as the original presentation, on this webpage under "Resources" on the right-hand side.

Thank you for your support!

2020-2021 Kindergarten Survey Results

To help us with our planning for kindergarten next September, we previously created and shared a short survey to gather feedback based on recent changes to kindergarten transportation. An digital report has been created to communicate the results of the survey and is posted on this page as PDF under Resources.
