Attendance

It is important that you call the school if your child is going to be absent or arriving late. Please report all absences to the Attendance Line at 403-777-6170 ext. 1. See more on our Attendance page.

Communication

We strive to have ongoing communication with our parents. Parents desiring a conference with teachers or administrators are asked to contact the school in advance by note or phone call so that a mutually convenient time can be arranged. Parents can contact their child’s teacher or administration if they have concerns regarding behaviour, actions or attitudes of staff or volunteers working at CJP.

Uninterrupted learning time is a priority so students will only be called to the phone or given messages in cases of emergency. Parents and students are requested to plan after school arrangements prior to coming to school. Messages regarding changes to routines should be communicated to the teacher. Learn more about other ways we communicate with you on our Ways to Get Connected page.

Office staff are able to answer questions about matters of general concern. Voice mail is used during the evening and when office staff is unavailable. When desiring to contact a teacher, please access the school voice mail directory leaving your name and number and the teacher will return your call as soon as possible.

Concerns & Complaints

We know that the success of your student is dependent on a strong partnership between families and the CBE. If you have a concern, it can usually be addressed at the classroom level. Your first step is to arrange to speak privately with your child’s teacher. If you feel your issue is still unresolved, please contact your principal. If you and the school are unable to find a resolution, please see our Concerns & Complaints page for additional information, including the process to contact your Area Director.
