Regular attendance and punctuality are required of all students. Parents are requested to inform the school by phone or note if a student will be absent or late. An explanation of the absence is required. The office staff will attempt to contact parents at home or work if a student is absent and we have not been informed by 9:10 AM.
Lates
We believe it is important to arrive at school on time and be prepared for class. Students who arrive late are asked to report to the office for a late slip before heading to class, otherwise a phone call may be made to report the student absent. Late slips should be given to the classroom teacher.
Chronic absenteeism or lateness will be followed up by school administration and referrals made to the attendance officer if appropriate.
Day-Time Appointments
Please notify the office when students are required to leave for medical, dental, or other appointments. For safety and security, students must not leave the school during class time until parents have signed them out using the sign-out book located outside of the office.
