Dear Students and Families,
I am excited and grateful for the opportunity to work with you as I transition into the position of principal at CBe-learn, Chinook Learning Services, and CBE Home Education. I believe that our role, and my own, is to support each student on their learning journey. Our programs offer unique opportunities to do so, and I’m thrilled to be joining you as we continue moving forward on this path.
I was previously the principal at H.D. Cartwright, a middle school in the community of Dalhousie. Prior to my time at HDC, I also served as the principal at Thomas B. Riley, Colonel Macleod, and Briar Hill School. I have a significant interest in teaching and learning with technology and am on the CBE’s Technology Council. Within and outside of the CBE, I have worked with a wide range of individuals from very young children to young adults in various communities around Calgary. I look forward to working with our staff and students in the rich and diverse environment that makes up CBe-learn, Chinook, and CBE Home Education.
As I make this transition, I want to acknowledge the fantastic work that Ken Weipert has done in this role and express my thanks for his ongoing support. I know that I am stepping into big shoes. I am looking forward to working with Mr. Weipert, our administrative staff, and the broader school community as we continue building on the fantastic work that is already underway.
Sincerely yours,
Steven Klukas
