Student Learning Conferences 2023

Parent-teacher conferences are an opportunity to engage in conversation about your child’s learning. Parents/guardians and teachers are able to communicate openly about student learning, especially with respect to areas of strength and areas of growth. They help build and sustain respectful relationships that allow both parties to share information and develop strategies to support student success.


Sr High Parent-Teacher Conferences

  • Conference booking information will be emailed to parents in October
  • Full-Time CBe-learn students: Booked through MyCBE
  • Concurrent students: send your teacher a Private Discussions message within your Brightspace (D2L) course to book an interview time.
  • Conducted online through Microsoft Teams (each booking is 10 minutes long)
  • Dates:
    • Thursday, October 19 | 1:00pm - 8:00pm
    • Friday, October 20 | 9:00am - 12:00pm

Junior High Parent-Teacher Conferences

  • Conference booking information will be emailed to parents in October
  • Booked through MyCBE
  • Conducted online through Microsoft Teams (each booking is 15 minutes long) 
  • Dates:
    • Thursday, October 19 | 1:00pm - 8:00pm  &
    • Friday, October 20 | 9:00am - 12:00pm

Elementary Parent-Teacher Conferences

  • Guardians will receive an email invitation when the conference booking system is opened
  • Booked through MyCBE
  • Conducted online through Microsoft Teams (each booking is 15 minutes long)
  • Dates:
    • Thursday, November 2 | 1:00pm - 7:00pm &
    • Friday, November 3 | 9:00am - 12:00pm

​How to Book a School Conference

  1. Log-in to MyCBE​.

    If you do not have an account, follow the Create a MyCBE Account​ instructions.

  2. Click on the My School Conferences icon.

  3. Click on the time slot that is available and convenient for you. Ensure pop-up windows are allowed.

  4. In the pop-up window, you will choose your child (you have the option to enter the student's name), the name of the parent / guardian is pre-filled, but can also be changed.​​​​

​​​Create a MyCBE Account

  1. Go to www.cbe.ab.ca/mycbe and click on the “Create Parent Account” link.

    Important: the email that you are using to create your account must be the same one you have provided to the school. If you are unsure, please contact the school office.

  2. Once you have created an account, you will receive a confirmation email. 

  3. After your account is confirmed, you can login to the system.​
