Essentials for Online Learning Success
COM 1255: e-learning and Learning Management Systems (1 credit)
"Essentials for Online Learning" is a course for all students new to CBe-learn Senior High school. This course serves as a student overview and an orientation to online learning skills and strategies, Brightspace (D2L) tools, and CBe-learn school policies and procedures.
This course is not a mandatory prerequisite, but students who are new to online learning are encouraged to take it as an orientation to online learning.
Essentials for Online Learning Success
- All CBe-learn Sr High students are registered into "Essentials for Online Learning Success" in addition to any course they have requested. We recommend students complete this orientation to online learning prior to beginning their academic course.
- This course is designed to be completed in a short amount of time.
- Two CBe-learn teachers will be present in the course to help guide students to completion.
- If a student successfully completes the course with a passing mark, they will earn one CTS High School credit in COM 1255 (e-learning and learning management systems). This mark will be reported at the end of the current school semester.
