“Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going”. Jim Ryun
Wow! We are now into April with a great deal of things on our minds. This is the time of year that considerable attention is placed on planning for next year. The Administrative Team is starting to make some plans for next year and making sure that we maintain the quality programming that you have become accustomed to. Sometime in April, we will be given our operating budget and the process will begin. We will be looking for feedback about next year priorities.
On behalf of the staff at Cecil Swanson I would like to thank all of you for your continued support in helping us meet the needs of your children. We cannot underestimate the difference it makes for students when parents are active participants in their child’s learning. It is also important that some have also communicated concerns or issues. We welcome the opportunity to improve upon what we do here, so if you have any questions or ideas, please never hesitate to contact the school.
Kindergarten Registration is open! We are really hoping to know all the new young Cecil Swanson students that will be joining us next year. If you have a child or know of a neighbour’s child that was born in 2018, please make sure you contact our office and register. You can visit: https://www.cbe.ab.ca/programs/kindergarten/Pages/default.aspx for more information or call our school at 403-777-6690.
Lifetouch will be once again doing Spring photos of students if parents/guardians would like to have Spring photos of their students. Picture day is Thursday, April 13.
We had another very successful two days of Learning Conferences in March that many parents/guardians took part in. Thank you to all of you who met with teachers.
If you have recently changed your contact numbers, address or if you are moving in the next little while, it would be greatly appreciated if you would give us a call and share those changes with us. Also, we really would appreciate any new updates on your child’s medical status, which could impact their safety at school.
We hope you and your children had the opportunity to reenergize over Spring Break and prepare mentally for the final three months of school.
Sincerely,Mr. Adam Topp, PrincipalMs. Joan Murtagh, Assistant Principal
