Please visit our COVID-19 page for the most up-to-date information. Our plan is subject to change throughout the school year as more information becomes available.

One of the most important ways parents/guardians and community members can make a meaningful difference for students is by participating on the school council. Under the Education Act, a school council is a collective association designed to advise the principal and the CBE Board of Trustees on matters related to the school. School councils have legislated advisory and decision-making authority. They are different from Parent Societies & Associations, whose main function is to raise funds for the school. You can find more details in the CBE School Council Handbook.

Information about the impact of COVID-19 on School Councils is available on the CBE website.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On Friday, December 4th the Centennial School Council and Centennial Parents Society were able to host a lunch for all staff at Centennial.  YYC Food Trucks provided the meals, we added beverages, chips, chocolate and also were able to provide a few door prizes (gift cards for coffee).  It was a fun, sunny and beautiful day.

We have also been able to purchase $700 in Superstore gift cards which will be used by the school for the Student Aid Fund.  A friendly reminder that you are always able to drop off food (granola bars, cup a soup, juice boxes, etc.) at the school office.

A reminder that the January School Council and Parent Society Meeting, on Wednesday, January 20, 2021.  All are welcome.
