Lunch Clubs

Clubs currently taking place at Chaparral include:

  • CBC Music Class:  Ms. McCune & Mrs. Pehkonen.  Students who have signed up are singing, dancing, and performing to a Canadian song.  Completed piece will be submitted to CBC Music Class Contest.
  • CHESS CLUB:  Intermediate - Advanced:  Beginning on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 and every Tuesday at lunch time, we are pleased to offer Grade 1-6 students of Chaparral an opportunity to play chess against other students.Chess is a challenging strategy game and allows students to analyze different positions and strategy.   This will be a drop-in club and students will eat their lunch in the Learning Commons then challenge other students to a game of chess.  Students need to know how to play chess.  We will be offering a Beginner’s Chess Club in the new year when other clubs are offered.  (Mrs. Fraser & supporting teachers)
