Behaviour

At Children’s Village School, a multidisciplinary team approach is used to support students in developing self-regulation strategies, problem-solving skills, self-advocacy skills, and skills for forming and maintaining healthy relationships. Each student’s plan is individualized to meet their specific needs, and our team works together to ensure that behavioural challenges are met with appropriate staff responses, reasonable and predictable consequences for students, and meaningful opportunities for learning and repair work to take place. Parents and guardians are an integral part of the student learning team, and ongoing communication between home and school aims to align priorities, expectations and effective strategies.
