How to Register

Most often, a child’s community school is considered to be the first and most preferable educational setting. In some situations, a child's family and school learning team may decide that a referral to a Special Program or Unique Setting is in their best interest. Consideration for placement in a Special Program or Unique Setting is a collaborative process that requires careful consideration based on specific and detailed supporting documentation. As our school is a Unique Setting within the Calgary Board of Education, parents or guardians are not able to register their child for Christine Meikle School independently of this collaborative process. Please contact your child's current school administrators or learning support team to discuss the steps that can be taken to ensure your child thrives in their learning.
