School Resource Officer
The role of the Resource Officer is to provide guidance and act as a legal resource for teachers, students, parents/guardians and the community at large. Part of this role is to encourage communication and greater understanding among young people and the Calgary Police Service.
Food and Drink Consumption
Students may eat their food and drink in the hallways before and after school, at locker break, and at lunchtime. Drinks and/or food in the classroom are at the sole discretion of each teacher. However, students are expected to finish prior to exiting for their next class.
Access to the vending machines is only allowed before school, at locker break, over the noon hour, and after school. Outside slushie-type beverages (i.e. slurpees and iced caps/coffees) sunflower seeds or sugar tubes are not permitted due to their negative impact on school cleanliness.
Food and drink are not allowed in the gymnasium at any time. Students caught violating this policy will be held accountable with the loss of privileges and may be assigned clean-up duties.
