​Our school offers options to suit our students’ unique learning needs, interests and abilities. All of our courses follow the Alberta Programs of Study. 

Course Options

Clarence Sansom School offers more than 40 different option choices. All descriptions of complimentary courses can be found in this document. Each year students choose 12 options and participate in 4 options per trimester – including:

  • Dance
  • Drama
  • Drawing
  • Painting
  • Sculpture
  • Industrial Arts
  • Food Studies
  • Fashion Studies, 
  • Technology (simulations, animation and design)
  • Student Leadership
  • Outdoor and Environmental Education (including climbing and a variety of physical education and fitness activities).  

Most options do not have a cost associated with them. However, some classes such foods and fashion studies, climbing, outdoor education, and industrial arts, have extra costs to cover the cost of materials or extra field trips.
