On-Board Conduct

Students riding the bus are responsible to the driver and the school for their behaviour. We have the same behavioural expectations for students on the bus as we do for any student in or around our school.  Safety is paramount on our buses. Our students share buses with younger students from Highwood. Our older students are expected to provide positive mentorship and leadership on their bus. Bus drivers will report student misconduct to the school staff. Appropriate discipline measures will be taken and may include suspension from the charter bus.

Stop Changes

Bus stop additions/changes must be requested from CBE Transportation, in writing using a Transportation Change Request form. Changes are not handled by the school office or by phone. Forms are forwarded to CBE Transportation, with action expected within 6 - 8 weeks.

Know Your Bus

Students, know your bus letter! It helps in finding the right bus.

Bus Times

Buses arrive at 8:15 AM
Buses leave at 3:20 PM
Buses leave at 12:20 PM on early dismissals

If you miss your bus, return to the school. Phone home for a ride or other instructions from your parents.

​​​Getting Students to School

You can register your child for yellow school bus transportation online using your MyCBE/PowerSchool or completing a transportation registration form.

Please visit the CBE website to find more information on fees and service levels for the 2021-22 school year.​​

To be included in the yellow school bus route planning for September, parents must register by the June 14 deadline. Any registrations received after that date will not be considered until route changes are done after Thanksgiving. The more registrations we receive by the deadline, the more efficient route planning will be for September.

Yellow school bus registrations can be cancelled by Sept. 30 with no financial penalty. Cancellation forms must be completed before a pro-rated refund can be considered. No refunds will be processed for service cancelled after Apr. 30 or for individual trip delays.

Parents/guardians whose children access yellow bus service can view the status of their bus using the MyBusStop App or on My School Bus Monitor.

Conditional Riders

Students who are not attending the designated school for their program, or who are not within the transportation service area, may be able to access existing service if there is a suitable stop on the existing bus route. Fees will not be waived for conditional riders.

Criteria for conditional riders:

  • Must access an existing stop

  • Must be room on the bus

  • Must pay the transportation fee

  • No additional bus routes will be implemented to accommodate conditional riders

  • Must wait for written approval from Transportation Services before starting to ride the bus

Conditional riders are not permitted to ride the bus until it is determined there is space on the bus and riders have been approved by Transportation Services.
