Security

Our school office hours are 8:15 AM - 4:00 PM Monday to Thursday and

8:15 AM - 1:00 PM on Friday.

The office is closed outside of these hours and we are unable to take inquiries. If parents or guardians need to contact teachers or staff members outside of these times, please feel free to call the office to make an appointment.

Visitors & Volunteers

All visitors to the school must ring the front door bell to gain access to the school. We ask that anyone entering the school please sign in at the office and receive a visitors tag. Only people listed as contacts may pick up a student and all students picked up before dismissal time must be signed out at the office.

Adults who enter the school through the student exit doors put their safety and the safety of others at risk due to the fact that they do not have a volunteer badge and have not signed in at the office. If there is an emergency the school is responsible for the safety of everyone and we must know who is in the building at all times.

Lockdowns

All CBE schools are required to practice lockdowns in the same way that we practice fire drills. The procedures for lockdowns are developed with the Calgary Police Service and are part of each school’s Emergency Response Plan. If you have questions about lockdown drills or lockdown procedures, please contact your principal.

Evacuation Procedures

In the event that the school needs to be evacuated for any reason, all staff have been trained according to CBE standards. All schools have a primary and a secondary evacuation site. In the event of an evacuation, you will receive an email, phone or SMS notification from the school.
