Preparing for High School

The CBE values the importance of grade 9 students touring their designated high school and attending the evening Open House for designated high schools and high schools with specific programs under consideration. As such, we encourage parents to attend (or go to) the open houses/school tours if your child is designated to that school or if you are considering a transfer to that school. High school transfers will only be considered if the request is based upon programming.

The grade 9 students will only be attending grade 9 high school tours of James Fowlers High School and Crescent Heights High School during the school day as they represent the feeder schools to which most of our students are designated. Please find listed below the following grade 9 tour dates and times:

  • Western Canada High School, Monday Nov. 4/19 Grade 9 Tours all day, Open House 6:00-9:00pm

  • Crescent Heights High School, Thursday Nov 14/19 Grade 9 Tour 9:00am-12:00pm, Open House 6-7:30pm
  • James Fowler High School, Tuesday Nov. 19/19 Grade 9 Tour 10:00am-2:00pm, Open House 6:00-8:00pm
  • Lester B. Pearson High School, Tuesday Nov. 26 Grade 9 Tour all day, Open House 6:00-8:00pm
  • Forest Lawn High School, Wednesday, Nov. 27/19 Grade 9 Tours 9:00-11:00am, Open House 6:00-8:00pm
  • John G. Diefenbaker High School, Thursday Nov. 28/19 Grade 9 Tours all day, Open House 6:00-8:00pm
