There are many ways you can contribute to our school’s success, and make a difference for our school and our students. In our school, this can include providing in-kind donations, contributing cash and lending expertise and technical knowledge. Connect with our principal on what may be appropriate. Fundraisers & Donations

Terry Fox Run/Walk

This year, our annual Terry Fox Run/Walk will obviously follow a different format. Students will still participate in this important event through their regular Phys Ed class. Students will follow the same route as in previous years; since they will be with their regular PE class, the total number of students participating at any given time will be significantly less, and this will allow for students to maintain good physical distancing. They will be under the direct supervision of their PE teacher(s) for the entirety of the run/walk.

This is an important event for our school, and we are proud supporters of the Terry Fox Foundation. As such, we want to continue to fundraise in support of furthering cancer research/development, but we ask that this year no donations are brought into the school. We have set up a webpage where you can donate online directly to the Terry Fox Foundation while still helping us keep track of our donations as a school. We are hoping as a school community to raise a collective $1000. Please click on the link to find our Colonel Macleod School donation page.

Healthy Hunger

If you would like to order lunch or snacks for your child, Healthy Hunger is offered twice per week (currently Mondays and Thursdays.

Ways to give to our school include:

Monetary (cash) donation

  • I wish to receive a tax receipt for my donation. Tax receipts will be issued for donations of $20 or more.
    • Visit the EducationMatters online donation webpage to make a donation. (Preferred donation method)
    • Write a cheque payable to EducationMatters  (all one word) and include the name of our school and the specific program, activity or item you want your donation to support in the 'memo' section. Give the cheque to the school or mail it to: EducationMatters, 1221 8 Street SW Calgary, AB T2R 0L4
  • I do not wish to receive a tax receipt for my donation
    • ​Write a cheque made payable to Calgary Board of Education  and include the name of our school and the specific program, activity or item you want your donation to support in the 'memo' section. Give the cheque to the school.

In-kind donations of school supplies or equipment

    If you have multiple items in different categories, please fill out the form for each item. This will help us to process your offer more efficiently.
