Please visit our COVID-19 page for the most up-to-date information. Our plan is subject to change throughout the school year as more information becomes available.

One way parents/guardians can make a meaningful difference for students is by participating on our school’s parent society. Under the School Act, a parent society is a formal group of parents, incorporated under the Societies Act for the purpose of raising funds for the school. A society is a separate legal entity from the school council. The school principal is not part of this group. More information can be found in our CBE Administrative Regulation 5001 – School Councils and School/Parent Societies.

Parent Society

Our Parent Society is known as Colonel MacLeod School Fundraising Society.

Welcome to Colonel MacLeod School  Fundraising Society! As the parent(s) of a Colonel MacLeod student you become part of the fundraising society automatically. All parents are welcome to come out to any of our meetings whether you decide to become part of the executive team or just want to stay up to date on what’s going on around the school (both meetings are held on the same night, one right after the other).

What do we do at the Friends of Colonel Macleod Meetings?

  • Discuss and decide which fundraisers we will hold throughout the year.
  • Discuss where the funds raised will be allocated.
  • Receive updates on our accounts by the treasurer.
  • Receive an overview on what was made from the fundraisers.

Meeting Dates/Schedule

Meetings immediately follow the School Council meetings in the school learning commons (library).

All parents are welcome to join us at these meetings, even if you need to come late.

See our Calendar page for dates and times.
