Parent Resources Supporting the Literacy and Mathematics Frameworks
Literacy and Mathematics
The CBE has created a document to support parents in understanding our Literacy and Mathematics Frameworks. You can access this document at this link: Education Plan, then look on the right hand-side and click on the document called 'Literacy and Mathematics Frameworks | Supporting Learning Excellence'.
Literacy
Literacy support videos have been created to introduce families to the teaching practice of Phonological Awareness within CBE Literacy Framework. An introduction video, along with at-home activity videos (isolating, blending, segmenting and manipulating phonemes), will be available on CBE Education Plan webpage. To access these videos please click on this link: Education Plan. On the right-hand side of the page, under the heading 'Literacy' you will see links to the videos.
Mathematics
There are two documents which may be of interest to our families. Please click on this link: Education Plan, then under the Mathematics heading you can click on 'Developing Positive Mathematics Experience' and/or 'Use and Connect Multiple Representations'. This second document links directly with our Mathematics School Development Plan (SDP) goal.
