Call to Action - 2022-23
In recognition of National Indigenous Peoples Day, and in alignment with the CBE Education Plan, Colonel Sanders School acknowledges and supports the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) Calls to Action, and makes the following commitment to action for the 2022-2023 school year:
Enrich student understanding of character and the Seven Sacred Teachings through Indigenous Ways of Knowing

Highlighting our Marvelous Students
As a staff, we believe that each of our students contributes in their own way to our learning community. We therefore highlight students in a variety of ways including:
- Recognizing students who demonstrate the teachings (Seven Sacred Teachings) at Character celebrations throughout the school year
- Bulletin boards of pictures and student work in the hall
- Use of TV in hallway to highlight kids’ work/ talents/ interest /participation
- Daily announcements
- Birthday pencils
- French plays
- Music celebrations
- Learning Conferences
