Lunchtime

Our Lunch Program

Lunch Break: 12:11 - 1:00 PM

We have an outstanding supervised lunch program which provides Grades 1-6 children with an opportunity to eat lunch and socialize with their friends at school and to also take part in various clubs and activities hosted during the lunch hour. Children can be enrolled in the program on a monthly or drop-in basis. Students bring their own lunches and are supervised by CBE lunchroom supervisors.

To for more information about our lunch program or to enroll your child in the Lunch Program, please contact our administrative secretary at 403-777-6780.

Hot Lunch Program

Optionally parents can choose to have their children attend the “Hot Lunch” program. The Hot lunch program is provide by the Colonel Walker Community School Association (Colonel Walker Programs), and is a brief walk from Colonel Walker school to the Inglewood community hall.

Students enrolled in this program are provided with a healthy home-cooked meal that follows the Canada Food Guide focusing on using high quality and low processed food. Fresh fruit & vegetables along with milk and juice is provided daily. The menu is extremely popular with the children.

The hot lunch program is not a CBE run program. For more information on the Hot Lunch Program, please contact Sandy at Colonel Walker Programs 403-263-2151 or colonelwalkerprograms@gmail.com.

Allergies

Please be aware several students have a potentially life-threatening allergy to peanuts. For more information about this and other health concerns visit our Illness & Medical page.
