Math & Literacy Night 2020!
Thank you families and students for our attending our Math & Literacy night in February!! Students and families were engaged in a variety of literacy and numeracy based activities that can be played both at school and at home. We had the area math strategists as well as a representative from the Calgary Public Library in Seton to further engage families in discussions around how to support and strengthen their child's literacy and numeracy skills!! School council helped to provide us with tea to drink as parents and students made their way through various games and activities! Thank you to all the families who came out to participate in our Math & Literacy night!

Copperfield School Show Choir
On Friday, October 18th, the Copperfield School Show Choir had the honour of attending and performing at a ceremony marking the 90th anniversary of the Person’s Case, a landmark moment pushed forward by Alberta’s Famous Five.
Until October 18th, 1929, women were not considered persons in the eyes of the Canadian government. The actions of the Famous Five, Emily Murphy, Henrietta Muir Edwards, Louise McKinney, Irene Parlby, and Nellie McClung, resulted in women being recognized as persons who had legal rights equal to those of men, including the right to vote.
Nenshi officially proclaimed October 18th to be Person’s Day in Calgary and asked to have a photo taken with our proud and inspired choir.
