CNGS Athletics 

Our athletics program competes with other CBE schools in under the Calgary Middle Level School Athletics association.  The following sports are offered at Captain Nichola Goddard for the 2022-23 school year: 

Soccer  

Grades 6-9 are eligible to play 

Season runs from September 1st to October 31

X-Country Running 

Students from grade 6-9 compete against same age and gender peers 

3 meets at Nose Hill Park, Confederation Park and Canmore Park 

Season runs from September 1st to October 14th 

 Volleyball 

Junior teams from grade 6-8 

Senior teams from grade 7-9 

Season runs from September 12th to November 20th 

Basketball 

Junior teams from grade 6-8 

Senior teams from grade 7-9 

Season runs from January 9th to  March 25th

Badminton 

1 team at each grade (6-9) 

Students compete in singles, doubles and mixed doubles divisions 

Season runs from April 3 - May 21

Track and Field 

Students compete at the track meet against same grade and gender peers 

Season runs from April - June 

Tryouts are through phys. Ed. classes 

Tryouts begin at the season of play start date.  Students need to make sure they have turned in their Annual Authorization for Athletic Tryout form to the PE office prior to tryouts.
