Summer School at the CBE

The Calgary Board of Education has summer school opportunities that allow high school students to:

  • Upgrade courses

  • Take a course that doesn’t fit in your schedule during the school year

  • Gain valuable work experience while earning credits

We offer summer school through Chinook Learning Services and CBe-learn. Summer school classes fill up quickly, so register early to avoid disappointment.

Provincial Diploma Exams usually occur during the first two weeks of August. Schedules are subject to change by Alberta Education at any time. For up-to-date information visit the Alberta Education webpage.

Visit our summer school programming page on the CBE website to learn more.

Online Learning at CBe-learn

CBe-learn offers a variety of online high school core and complementary courses during the summer. Online learning allows you the flexibly to take one summer school course to help you catch up, keep up, or get ahead.

This morning, CHHS staff participated in a smudge led by our very own Ms Laplante and her daughter. We reflected on and celebrated the outstanding contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. #NationalIndigenousPeoplesDay @Indigenous_cbe #WeAreCBE #CrescentStrong https://t.co/taV7cScUwc
